Carrie C. Devine-Ransom
I am a graduate of IU McKinney School of Law and was sworn-in to the Indiana State Bar in May of 2020. Previously, I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Hanover College in 2000 where I majored in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Spanish. After Hanover College, I continued my education at IUPUI earning a Master of Science in Cellular and Integrative Physiology from Indiana University and proceeded to work in the medical field of neurology, sleep medicine, and drug trials for several years and later transitioned into the corporate and personal wellness industry. My passion for advocacy and people led me to return to school once again to earn a Doctor of Jurisprudence at IU McKinney School of Law, become a licensed attorney, and ultimately a career in Elder Law.
While in law school, I served as a student ambassador, participated as a member of the Family Law Society, was elected Class Representative my 1L year, Secretary of the Student Bar Association my 2L year, and President of the Student Bar Association my final and 3L year. Throughout law school I volunteered as a Guardian Ad Litem for Kids’ Voice and am a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association as well as a member of the Elder Law and Real Property, Trust and Estate Law sections.
I joined Holwager & Holwager, P.C. in August of 2020. Currently, I focus my practice on long term care funding solutions as well as estate and trust planning and administration.
Residing in Fishers with my husband, two teenage children, and two cats, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, and being active outdoors.
